Below is the schedule for Week 1 of pre-tryout practices starting on Sunday September 29th.  A few notes about the logistics of these pre-tryout weeks:

• There are 3 groups for ice times on Sunday (9/29), Tuesday (10/1), Thursday (10/3), and Saturday (10/5).  Each player has been assigned to a group and will attend the ice times for their group that's listed on the first tab of the attached spreadsheet

   

• For the three other Sundays during the pre-tryout practices (10/6, 10/13, and 10/20) we only have TWO blocks of ice available, so each player will get to skate on 2 of those 3 Sundays.  We'll run full ice 5v5 scrimmages on these days.  The groups for these Sunday scrimmages are separate and listed on the second tab of the spreadsheet.  If your player is NOT listed for the first week, they will skate on the other two Sundays

   

• The groups attached here are for WEEK 1 ONLY.  Based on feedback after last year's pre-tryout practices we'll be changing the Squirt groups each week to give the kids a chance to skate with as many other players as possible before tryouts.  The groups for Weeks 2 and 3 will be sent out as we get closer to those ice times.  The U10 girls will remain together as a group for the entirety of the pre-tryout practices

   

• On the FIRST tab of the spreadsheet ("Week 1 Groups and Schedule"), locate which group your player is in (1, 2, or 3).  Once their group is located, you'll see their schedule for the week.  It will list:

  • Ice time dates and times

  • For PART-TIME GOALIES, it lists which part-time goalie should dress as goalie for each ice time.  Please have your player dress as a SKATER unless they are listed as that session's part-time goalie.  Each part-time goalie will receive the same number of opportunities to dress as goalie during the pre-tryout ice times

  • Classroom session times and topics.  There are 30 minute classroom sessions scheduled on 4 of the pre-tryout days.  Players are expected to attend these classroom sessions on the date/time indicated.  Parents are also welcome to attend these sessions

     

• On the SECOND tab of the spreadsheet ("Week 1 Sunday Scrimmage Groups"), check to see if your player is listed to scrimmage that day.  If they ARE listed in one of the two groups, the schedule for their scrimmage that day is included.  If they are NOT listed for Week 1, they will then scrimmage on Sunday in Weeks 2 and 3

This was also emailed to families on 9/13.  Schedules for Week 2 and 3 will be sent out at a later date.
