Volunteers are critical to the success of Waconia Hockey Association now, and into the future. Whether the individual acts as a volunteer administrator of an event, committee or contributes his or her time and resources in support of our teams, the efforts that are put forth deserve our heartiest gratitude and recognition.
It is for that reason that the Waconia Hockey Association Volunteer of the Year Award was created to recognize those outstanding volunteers whose unselfish and dedicated service to youth hockey and more specifically, the Waconia Hockey Association, has made a significant difference in their community. Nominate someone you admire for their service to Waconia Hockey Association's mission and help us recognize the efforts of hardworking individuals who stand out as an example of exceptional dedication to the WHA families we serve.
Nominate a Volunteer and Coach Today Below! Voting begins Sunday, Feb. 14 - Sunday, March 21!

From MN Hockey (1/4/2021):
We have some good news to share. First off, hockey is back!! Plus, Minnesota Hockey has secured approval from MDH for the use of the Bauer Splashguard in addition to the CCM Game On mask. Please see the attached update on HECC masks for details.
Also, we have developed an FAQ sheet on the mask mandate with answers to many of the most common questions to date. We hope this helps navigate this challenging topic and appreciate your patience over the past week as we've worked to confirm these details.
Lastly, we will be waiting to release our Phase 5 guidelines until the state releases their guidance (hopefully soon!). One change we will be making from this past fall is allowing three coaches on the bench during games. More to come!
